FREE MUSIC MONDAY 2013/05

New free music: an amazing soundtrack for the future by Robot Koch (a free CREEP remix for you inside!), alt/post-rock stuff by Lausch, jazz-hop instrumentals by Vanilla, remixes of weird cinematic industrial from Dragonfly Lingo and some space-step extravaganza from Triad.

ROBOT KOCH

The future: blue, tinted with smoke, distorted into a bittersweet parody of itself through the windows of a bar just near the street gang warzone. Best soundtrack? Oh we bit you could name a few, but here’s our latest addition to the list: acclaimed Berlin soundscaper Robot Koch just laid down something – carefully manipulated by CREEP – that we’d love to hear in the upcoming Neuromancer movie!

LAUSCH

Three Austrian guys decided to carry parts of the alternative-rock heritage of the 90s into the new millennium and make it a new post modern bunch of well structured, tight and powerful music. Their slow and pumping style is disarming and hijacks into a world of weird, impulsive vocals. Lausch impress with professional performance and special sense for slow, powerfuland progressive music. There is no doubt about these musician’s appeal to bring rock with only three classical instruments to a higher level. Their music is definitely far away from current stereotypes and hypes.

VANILLA

‘For What It’s Worth’ is a collection of 20 outtakes and loose instrumentals made over the past year that I felt could use a home. There’s a slightly jazzier vibe here than my other stuff but overall there’s no real unifying theme. I am working hard on the proper follow up to Soft Focus as well as some other major projects so hopefully 2013 should be an eventful year…

DRAGONFLY LINGO

Dragonfly Lingo is an electronic industrial act, started in 2009 by the music and film sound engineer, sound producer, and musician Mitia Wexler. The project started with an idea to take the pieces of dialogue from film and pair it to the music that each excerpt inspired. With time, the Dragonfly Lingo moniker expanded beyond one concept album paying homage to the silver screen gems…

TRIAD

One of our personal favourites this week, an amazing neo-futuristic-space-colony-step version of TRIAD’s Utopia – album’s coming out on the 4th March – with this remix on it!
