Tastebuds are getting behind the country’s best and only hope for Eurovision – and economic recovery – this year.

We know there are many, many Blue fans dormant across the country. Your sister, your nephew, that next door neighbour you haven’t seen for a couple of weeks now… everyone knows someone who’s turning Blue this week. With retail experts announcing the beleaguered British economy would get a boost to the tune of £680 million as a result of a Blue win – more than that generated by the Royal Wedding – the whole country needs to get behind our plucky countrymen!

The kids have been swarming over these ceramic beauties like flies to shit

Eurovision voting rules forbid fans to vote for their own country so Tastebuds has asked their users to compromise their musical taste and integrity for a few hours and pick up the phone to their friends and family on the continent. In addition there are unsubstantiated rumours that if Blue win the contest they will play a private gig for all 8 Blue fans on Tastebuds.

Finally, UK Prime Minister David Cameron is getting behind the Blue boys – some say he’s based his entire fiscal policy around their success – so get involved by liking the Blue for Eurovison 2011 Facebook page, inviting your European friends and tuning into the show on Saturday night!
